WIZnet has introduced the WIZ630io, a compact Ethernet module featuring an RJ45 jack and the W6300 QSPI Ethernet controller, enabling up to 80+ Mbps data throughput over a 150 MHz QSPI interface. This tiny board makes it easy to add high-speed Ethernet connectivity to any microcontroller, such as the Raspberry Pi RP2350, or others supporting SPI/QSPI communication.
The module brings the power of WIZnet’s hardware-based TCP/IP engine to developers, simplifying Ethernet implementation for industrial, IoT, and embedded projects.WIZ630io Technical Highlights

Simple Connectivity for Any MCU
The WIZ630io can be directly connected to popular microcontrollers like the RP2350, ESP32, or STM32 boards using its QSPI or SPI interface.
With QSPI mode enabled, it can reach Ethernet speeds exceeding 80 Mbps, ideal for real-time communication, streaming, or remote control applications.
Developers can take advantage of WIZnet’s ioLibrary_Driver (C Library) — the Internet Offload Library — which provides ready-to-use drivers for WIZnet SPI and QSPI Ethernet chips, including the W6300.
Documentation and Support
WIZnet provides:
- Schematics and 3D files on its documentation site
- Sample request support by email
- A Getting Started Guide (coming soon)
- Example code via the ioLibrary_Driver repository
While the WIZ630io is not yet widely available for purchase, its open schematics make it possible for developers to recreate or prototype their own version.
For comparison, the previous WIZ610io module is already listed on online marketplaces:
Ethernet is still the most reliable, low-latency communication method for IoT and embedded systems. With WIZ630io, developers can easily retrofit Ethernet into any SPI/QSPI-capable microcontroller — no need for USB or Wi-Fi modules.
This means faster, more stable connectivity for:
- Industrial automation devices
- Data loggers and gateways
- Edge AI nodes
- Robotics and networked control systems
