While browsing AliExpress, I came across two interesting modules — the RP2350 Tiny and RP2350 Tiny XL — both based on the Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller and priced at nearly half the cost of Solder Party’s RP2350 Stamp boards they appear to clone.
Despite the low price, the boards retain nearly identical form factors, pin layouts, and even the LiPo charging circuit seen in the originals, making them drop-in compatible with accessories like the RP2xxx Stamp Carrier XL.
Affordable RP2350 Stamp Alternatives
The RP2350 Tiny and Tiny XL aim to deliver full RP2350 MCU functionality in compact, stamp-style boards that are ideal for rapid prototyping, DIY projects, and CircuitPython/Arduino development.
Both variants are built around the Raspberry Pi RP2350 dual-core Arm Cortex-M33 microcontroller with 520KB internal RAM, 8KB OTP, and 16MB of onboard flash. The Tiny XL version also adds external PSRAM, extra GPIOs, and JST connectors for SWD/UART debugging — similar to Solder Party’s “Stamp XL”.RP2350 Tiny and Tiny XL Specifications

Form Factor and Compatibility
Both boards clearly take design inspiration from Solder Party’s RP2350 Stamp series — right down to the castellated hole layout and component placement.
From the reference photos, the Tiny and Tiny XL appear identical in size to their Solder Party counterparts, meaning they should work perfectly with the RP2xxx Stamp Carrier XL and other accessories built for those modules.
Software Support
Like all RP2350-based boards, these modules are compatible with:
- Arduino IDE
- MicroPython
- CircuitPython
They also inherit the RP2350’s hardware features like PIO, PWM, and TrustZone for secure applications.
This makes them excellent low-cost options for embedded development, education, or even as RP2040 upgrade boards for existing projects.
Both modules are currently available on AliExpress:
- RP2350 Tiny (RP2350A) – $6.35
- RP2350 Tiny XL (RP2350B) – $10.30
Each comes with a LiPo charger, and the XL version includes PSRAM and debug connectors for more advanced development needs.
The RP2350 Tiny and Tiny XL offer almost identical layouts and features as Solder Party’s RP2350 Stamp boards, but at roughly half the price.
With full CircuitPython, Arduino, and MicroPython support, integrated battery charging, and drop-in compatibility with Stamp accessories, these boards deliver excellent value for makers and developers looking to explore the new RP2350 platform without spending much.
If you’ve been eyeing the RP2350 Stamp or Stamp XL, these clones might be the perfect low-cost alternative.
