Olimex RP2350-PICO2 Open Hardware Boards Expose All 48 GPIOs for Breadboard Prototyping

Olimex has launched two new open hardware development boards — the RP2350-PICO2-BB48 and RP2350-PICO2-BB48R, both based on the Raspberry Pi RP2350B microcontroller. These boards expose all 48 GPIOs in a 0.6-inch dual-inline layout, making them ideal for breadboard prototyping, DIY electronics, and IoT experimentation.

The new BB48 and BB48R boards bring a breadboard-friendly form factor compared to previous PICO2-XL and PICO2-XXL versions. Designed with accessibility and expandability in mind, they include USB-C connectivity, BOOT and RESET buttons, a 2A 3.3V regulator, Qwiic/Stemma connectors, and debug pads.

The BB48R model adds 8MB PSRAM and a microSD card slot, enhancing it for projects that require more memory and data storage.

Pre-soldered headers make it easy to plug directly into a breadboard — perfect for prototyping, educational use, or retro computing projects.
