Hacknect — the Wi-Fi Enabled Hacking & Automation Cable powered by ESP32-S3.

Most USB automation and cybersecurity tools typically require multiple external modules, separate storage adapters, or standalone development boards to provide wireless control, HID automation, and payload management. In contrast, Hacknect combines all these capabilities directly into a compact everyday USB cable powered by the ESP32-S3 microcontroller.

The integrated ESP32-S3 enables Hacknect to create a browser-based wireless control dashboard that can be accessed directly from smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop systems without requiring dedicated software installation. Through the dashboard, users can interact with payload slots, launch automation actions, manage wireless controls, and access onboard storage features.

The project also demonstrates several automation workflows including smartphone-controlled actions, wireless file transfer to onboard TF storage, browser-based payload deployment, and plug-and-run automation examples triggered immediately after the cable is connected to a system.

Unlike traditional standalone development boards, Hacknect focuses on integrating wireless automation functionality directly into an everyday cable form factor, making it portable and easy to carry while still offering advanced browser-based interaction capabilities.

The creators also plan to make the project fully open source after delivery. Firmware source code, example projects, documentation, setup guides, and payload examples are expected to be released to the community, allowing developers and makers to customize and expand the platform for their own applications.

Hacknect Open Source Platform

The project is currently live on Kickstarter with Early Bird pricing starting at €65, while additional combo packs and multi-pack rewards are also available. Backers can choose between Red and White cable variants, and bulk custom branding options are available for organizations and larger deployments.

The Kickstarter campaign page includes demonstrations of smartphone-based wireless controls, browser dashboard interaction, remote automation actions, and integrated TF storage workflows.
